Dan and Shay are breakout pop-country duo taking the world by storm. Their most recent tour, Heartbreak on the Map where they performed songs from their most recent grammy nominated album Bigger Houses. You could say it put them on the map!
Dear Fellow Fangirls,
I’ve been a small fan of Dan & Shay for quite a few years but had never gone to one of their shows until this past summer. It was actually a last minute show, but boy was I glad that I went.
The Dan & Shay concert I went to was an unforgettable experience and always is, no matter where you’re sitting in the venue. Whether you’re up close to the stage or way in the back, the energy from them is contagious, their performance is pure magic, and the crowd’s excitement fills the air. From their chart-topping hits like Tequlia and to the impressive light shows and heartwarming moments, every seat offers a front-row view to the fun. It’s the kind of concert that makes you feel like you’re part of something special, no matter the distance.
I was sitting further back in the lower bowl but my favorite part was when they went into the crowd at the venue and walked up the aisles all the way back to the lawn to perform Mr. Brightside by the Killers. Everyone in the crowd just started moshing. The energy during that song was electric and so fun.
While there were many moments that were hype and fun to dance to they also sang a couple of their most popular ballads and radio hits. They sound absolutely incredible live, and exactly like their records on streaming platforms if not better. The emotion in their voice was so captivating and raw, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
I also loved when shared how special Phoenix (the city I saw them in) was to them. They shared that Phoenix has always been a must stop for them, and one of their favorites because of the memories they’ve made here early on in their career. They also shared that many of their career streaming milestones were hit first in Arizona because of the many country radios in the valley.
At the show they did have quite a few photo ops for fans to pose in front of. One of them was a light up mezzanine sign inside the venue with the name and date of the show. The second photo op they had was from their album cover. On their latest album, Bigger Houses, they are sitting on top of a house and they brought this to every stop and fans could take a photo sitting in the same position as Dan & Shay did!

While their concert was phenomenal, I think their fan experience could have been improved! These are a few of the ideas that I think will make the fan experience better for everyone.
Dan & Shay X Greeley Hat Works:
- At this VIP pop-up experience fans can bring their cowboy hat or buy a new one to get completed customized and shaped to their head and accessorized (show specific patches available first come first serve) to their liking! This is a good way for fans to have something to post about online to keep the conversation about the tour going, as well as offer a fun experience for fans that show up early before the show!

Dan & Shay Boot Charms:
- This pop-up would be similar to the previous pop up, but instead of cowboy hats it’s with boots! These charms would be customizable but have specific charms nodding to their most popular songs. Everyone wears their cowboy boots to a country concert so this is a easy inclusive pop-up! It’s a new trend for people to add ribbons, and charms on their cowboy boots so this is a good way to be a part of that trend while still including their country brand.

Dan & Shay LITTLE LIME TEQUILA
- Little Lime Tequila is a themed cocktail available at all the shows in a mini Dan & Shay engraved keepsake tequila bottle. This is a nod to their hit song and fan favorite called “Tequila”.

These are just a few of the many ideas that could improve Dan & Shay’s overall brand and fan experience for their fans at all of their live music shows and events!
Overall Dan & Shay have done a good job of incorporating their brand in their live shows to ensure that their fans have the best experience possible. I think that with these special additions and exclusive VIP experiences that it could make the night even more memorable for them and their fans!
hugs and kisses,
from a front row fangirl
